Beskrivelse på engelsk:
In this all new adventure, Dreamland has been transformed into a painting by an evil witch named Drawcia. When our pink hero Kirby meets her, she transforms him into a ball and makes her escape. Kirby is left with little choice but to set off on an adventure to return both himself and the world to normal. To help Kirby on his way, players make use of a mysterious Power Paintbrush, which the sorceress left behind. This allows players to interact with the painted world in a variety of ways.
Kirby Power Paintbrush has a different control method to any other platform game seen to date. Kirby constantly rolls from one side of the screen to another, allowing players to manipulate his movements with the Nintendo DS stylus and help him overcome obstacles by drawing rainbow-colored lines and paths for him to follow. The player can draw paths of any type, including complex ‘loop the loops’ and steep slopes to overcome the various puzzles encountered.
- As he progresses through the game’s many levels, Kirby will encounter all manner of enemies who seek to hinder his progress. Again it falls upon the player to help defeat these new nasties and help our hero on his way. Tapping on Kirby himself with the Nintendo DS stylus forces him into a spin attack, which can be used to incapacitate and destroy enemies in his path. Tapping on fast moving enemies will temporarily freeze them, allowing Kirby to pass by or attack them at will. As with previous Kirby games, killing certain enemies will enable Kirby to imitate their abilities, adapting them to his own use. In Kirby Power Paintbrush there are eleven abilities which can be copied and used to progress through the game – these new forms include Wheel Kirby, Burning Kirby, Stone Kirby, Laser Kirby and Balloon Kirby.
- Kirby Power Paintbrush is no small adventure, with eight massive interactive worlds to explore. In the main Story Mode, players will challenge over twenty-two vivid storybook levels. As if this wasn’t enough, there are forty side challenges dotted throughout the game to test your speed, dexterity and drawing skills. These challenges in turn unlock extra features such as bonus levels, sub games, extra characters and new ink colors.
- Once the main game has been conquered and peace returned to Dreamland, the fun doesn’t stop there. A selection of extra modes become available, allowing you to improve your skills and perfect parts of the game. Boss Game Challenge Mode allows valuable practice against all of the game’s bosses, while Time Attack Mode encourages players to race through levels against the clock. Finally Line Attack challenges gamers to finish a level with the lowest amount of ink used. With all these modes and much, much more, Kirby is definitely top of the Nintendo DS Christmas list!
